RACE REPORT: 4-mile Charity race for Habitat for Humanity

April 25th at 8:00AM, about 30 runners eagerly awaited their pre-determined start time (based on their age and gender) for the Age-handicapped 4-mile race that began at the ARA. The format for this type of race aims to even the playing field by allowing older runners to start first and younger runners to start last. Runners enjoyed a scenic out and back course through Baridhara with cold Gatorade at the turn around point. Runners paid 500 Taka and each received a commemorative Habitat for Humanity brick at the finish. A fun race with lots of refreshments and food afterwards ensured that everyone had a good time! All of the proceeds from the race, which totaled 16,000 Taka, went to Habitat for Humanity®- Bangladesh.

Congratulations to all the runners who participated and the top finishers for running so well in the heat. Kudos to the first female finisher, Irina Niederberger who was also the top finisher OVERALL. Nice job, Irina!
