SLR report from April 12, 2008

Despite the absence of a handful of regular SLR attendees, we had 8 runners show up to run 8 miles this past Saturday morning! There was a good mix of old and new faces which made the conversation on the run even more interesting. There were even a couple of visitors from Chiang Mai that heard about the club and its weekly Saturday run! The word is getting out!

The runners set out for Baridhara via Road 13 and doubled back on road 11 to run along the lake. We took the UN road down to Embassy road and turned left. This is a great, shaded street with not much traffic. We ran back north towards road 13 to complete the ‘lap’. We ran a total of three laps and then back to the ARA. This was a great course for people wanting to run various distances. Some runners ran one lap, others opted for two laps and a few of us ran the full three. The total distance for 3 laps was 7.5 miles.

Come join the group next Saturday in front of the ARA at 6:30AM!

Dave and Robin will be away for the week-end, but are looking for a sub-leader for Saturday, April 19th. If you are able to lead the group for a 6-9 mile run, please email Robin at rmartz@umich.edu

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE UPCOMING DTC AND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RACE ON APRIL 25TH!
